VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association is looking for volunteers that are interested in making a difference by assisting youth and adults with a physical or visual disability. Opportunities are open to all ages 14 and older.

District 117 is excited to announce the sixth annual AP Bootcamp event for this summer! All first-time D117 AP students are invited to attend the event on Monday, August 7 at Lakes Community High School from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. This event is designed to help students understand the nature of AP courses and prepare for success in these courses. The event will include a keynote address, break-out sessions focused on skills needed for AP classes, a student panel, and team-building activities. A pizza lunch will also be provided. Transportation to and from the event will not be provided by the district. Students should have received a postcard invitation as well as a follow-up email with more information about this event.
