Antioch Community High School
December’s ACHS student of the month is senior Kendra Schaefer. Congratulations, Kendra, and as always, thank you Antioch Pizza for the generous donation of a large pizza to ACHS student of the month. Take a look at what some of Kendra’s teachers had to say about her:
Kendra is an amazing student to have in class. I love her personality and her curiosity. She's someone that everyone in class can talk to and work with so easily.
-Chad Rusk
Kendra has shown herself to be a person who can engage in mature conversations. She has an unique ability to combine her artistic and analytic skills to make her one of the most well-rounded students in her graduating class.
-William Zambole
Kendra is a constant positive in speech class this year. Right from the beginning she has impressed me with her enthusiasm, response to feedback, and willingness to take risks. She was one of the first to jump up and volunteer to give an impromptu speech in the first week of class, and since then she has continued to give a series of well-organized, well-researched, and engaging speeches. I’ll be bummed to see her go when class ends in a few weeks.
-Sam Worden
Kendra Schaefer exemplifies hard work, dedication, and resilience in our PE program. Her consistent effort and determination have not only made her a standout student but also earned her a spot on the ACHS All-Time Strength Board in two lifts—a remarkable achievement. Kendra’s commitment to personal growth and excellence inspires her peers and showcases what can be accomplished through focus and perseverance. Congratulations, Kendra! Keep up the amazing work--

I had Kendra in AP Lang. last year, and she was amazing! She always contributed thoughtfully to our class discussions, and she never hesitated to share an idea, even if she wasn't confident in the idea; she shared, and she became better as a result because we could talk through her idea and her understanding of the material at hand. Kendra made all our class discussions better because of her contributions, and her unique perspective was one that sparked other students to engage in the material.
We say it all the time, but I really mean it when I say that Kendra was a pleasure to have in class:)

Kendra ist meine Nummer Eins! (Kendra is my Number 1!) She has been German Club's fearless leader as its president for the past three years! German Club took a major hit over the Covid years, so our membership was down to the single digits. Under her leadership German Club has steadily continued to grow to the robust thirty-five member club that we are today! She has been instrumental in increasing student interest and sparking excitement for our various events and celebrations. Her insights and suggestions have been invaluable in helping German Club continue to grow by offering new, engaging opportunities for our members to explore the culture.
Kendra’s willingness to explore every opportunity around her demonstrates her eagerness to grow as an individual and as a strong leader among her peers. She is confident, determined, optimistic, and open-minded. She brings energy and enthusiasm to the classroom, lifts spirits with her positive attitude, and contributes greatly to school and class climate. Kendra is amazing!
