November Student of the Month, Kaylee Hibbeln poses with gift certificate on beige backdrop.

Antioch Community High School

November’s student of the month is senior Kaylee Hibbeln. An exemplary student, Kaylee impresses everyone she meets. Congratulations, Kaylee, and as always, thank you Antioch Pizza for the generous donation of a large pizza to ACHS student of the month. Take a look at what some of Kaylee’s teachers had to say about her:

Kaylee is the kind of student all teachers want to have in their class; from helping out other students to staying on top of her work and asking higher-order questions to always having a positive attitude, Kaylee is just a great person!

-Lindsay Schiwisow

Kaylee is an outstanding member of our ACHS Democracy School committee. She has been active for the past two years in helping to promote civic engagement at ACHS. She consistently attends our meetings once a month at 7:00 am. She is taking the lead in organizing an Honor Guard (flag bearers) for our upcoming Veterans Day assembly. This is a huge help to me and to our committee. It is also a testament to her commitment to her community. -Anne Eichman

Kaylee does a phenomenal job collaborating with her peers and advocating for her needs. She is just an overall great human being and attracts positive energy. Kaylee is in APCSP at the moment and is going to do great things in the future with her coding abilities. She also is a part of the Democracy School Committee and has been a pleasure to work with there as well.

-Allison Herrmann

Kaylee’s general enthusiasm for being in school was contagious. She eagerly shared ideas with her peers, and offered suggestions for the good of the class. She was kind and considerate in all her interactions, and worked well with any of her peers. Where there was a need, Kaylee was willing to step up and help however she could. We occasionally had an odd number of students to pair up for speaking exams, and Kaylee was always willing to perform the exam again so that everyone would have a partner.

Kaylee: well-rounded and extra.  Not easy to do at the same time.

Really, Kaylee is one of the most eclectic yet driven people I know. She is laser-focused on her post-secondary plans, and she also finds time to go on long camping trips with Girl Scouts in the Southwest. She's awesome and funny, and I'm so lucky I got to have her in class.

-Helene Schulze

Kaylee is an engaged and motivated student at ACHS. She is always raising her hand to help and I have enjoyed working with her on the Democracy School Committee. Also, she is involved in the scouts and works as a leader and mentor in that capacity too! She is an amazing example of what it means to be a Sequoit!

-Jaclyn Orlov

Kaylee is truly amazing! It’s been such a joy working with her over the past four years. She’s resourceful, driven, and always keeps things light with her great sense of humor. She is such an impressive student and really values her education - I have no doubt she’s going to be incredibly successful. She’s a natural leader, always looking to grow and find opportunities related to her future career. I’m so proud of her and can’t wait to see all of the great things she'll accomplish!

-Taylor Travers

Kaylee is an incredibly positive student with an intrinsic drive to push herself to succeed.  She is always willing to help others and often takes a leadership role when working in groups.  Kaylee sees value in figuring out things for herself and often finds novel ways to complete complex physics calculations.  She is a pleasure to have in class.
